If your kiosk printer is incorrectly displaying the yen symbol (¥) instead of the dollar sign ($), please follow these steps to correct the currency setting:
-
Power Off the Kiosk: Ensure the kiosk is completely turned off.
-
Access Printer Buttons: Locate two buttons on the printer: the 'Set' button and the 'Feed' button.
-
Enter Configuration Mode:
- Continue to hold the 'Set' button.
- Turn on the kiosk.
- Press the 'Feed' button twice.
-
Release the 'Set' Button: After pressing the 'Feed' button twice, release the 'Set' button to enter the language configuration mode.
-
Check Current Language Setting:
- Press the 'Set' button once.
- Observe the language printed on the receipt. If it is not English, it will need to be changed.
-
Select English Language:
- Press the 'Feed' button repeatedly until "English" appears on the receipt.
-
Save and Exit:
- Hold both the 'Set' and 'Feed' buttons simultaneously.
- Release them at the same time to save the settings and exit configuration mode.
-
Restart the Kiosk: Turn the kiosk off and then on again to ensure the new settings take effect.
After completing these steps, the kiosk's order receipts should display the correct dollar symbol ($). If issues persist, consult the kiosk’s technical support for further assistance.
